Announcing our bold, new campaign: "Cellular Agriculture for the Public Good."

(Re)Launching Cellular Agriculture Canada

We’re launching a coalition of diverse key players across Canada – from biomanufacturing to agriculture, R&D to commercialization, training to infrastructure – building the future of cellular agriculture.

Our mandate? To convene and steer Canada’s cellular agriculture ecosystem towards growth, sustainability and global leadership.

Today, we are (re)launching Cellular Agriculture Canada (CAC) as a multistakeholder coalition led by New Harvest Canada. Check out our new website here.

Two months ago we convened the Canadian cellular agriculture ecosystem to consider the collective future for cellular agriculture in Canada.

One of the first collective actions we decided to pursue was the formation of a coalition of diverse key players across Canada to convene and steer Canada’s cellular agriculture ecosystem towards growth, sustainability and global leadership.

We are building upon the success of Cellular Agriculture Canada as the first nonprofit to support the field in Canada, and relaunching it as a coalition of 24 founding members under the same name.

With New Harvest Canada as the leading organization, we want CAC to be a platform where those new to cellular agriculture can learn about the Canadian players and actions we’d like to see in the Canadian context in order for us to be global leaders in the space. At the same time, we want to provide current and future members with an opportunity to openly collaborate to tackle the key action areas.

A very special thank you to Tarika Vijayaraghavan of Trove Biosciences and Lejjy Gafour of CULT Food Science for working closely alongside New Harvest Canada on this launch.

Let’s keep building the Canadian cellular agriculture ecosystem together.

Reach out if you want to learn more about the new CAC and how you can be a part of it!
