Do you want to help New Harvest build the Canadian cellular agriculture ecosystem?
After 20 years of building the field of cellular agriculture around the world, New Harvest has been focusing on Canada as a place to build out the agricultural foundations of both cellular agriculture and biomanufacturing.
The Canadian Prairies are celebrated for their fertile land and agricultural productivity. That is why they are called “Canada’s breadbasket.” Beyond productivity, Canadian primary crops are often grown more sustainably than comparable crops grown elsewhere due to the ecology of the region, modern agricultural practices, and science-based regulations. Because of all of this and more, we believe that Canada has a high potential to produce the feedstocks that are so desperately needed for the growing global biomanufacturing sector. The Canadian Prairies could be where we connect cellular agriculture to agriculture – and where the supply chains of cellular agriculture and biomanufacturing begin.
We are currently pursuing a major, three-year project pulling together 20+ industry and academic partners across Canada to tackle the opportunity above.
We are currently seeking bold individuals to join us in building this project. If we are successful, we will secure funding from industry and two levels of government to launch the project.
Are you an innovative project manager who would like to join us in realizing this vision? This individual will be crucial for coordinating and managing this new initiative to build out food biomanufacturing, push value-added agriculture, and create a more food-secure future while strengthening Canada’s agriculture sector.
