Since its launch in 2022, New Harvest Netherlands has been very fortunate.
So far, with the help of many great partners, we have managed to secure every grant we’ve applied for. Two of these were EU Horizon grants (we’ll have more to say about the second one soon) which enable us to work on large scale, multi-year projects… and at this point to grow our team!
We are currently seeking a co-director who will assist the current director (myself) running our New Harvest Netherlands entity. This means managing and executing on tasks for our current projects, seeking out new projects/grants, and working within the European ecosystem (and with the rest of the international New Harvest team) to advance cellular agriculture for the public good.
This is an advanced position, for people with a work and/or educational history equivalent to a graduate degree in areas related to cellular agriculture, as well as experience working within industry or the non-profit space. The more you are familiar with the field and have an existing network the better.
It is also a position for a strong, independent thinker with an intrapreneurial spirit, who also values and empowers the work of others.
Successful applicants will:
- Be eligible to work in the Netherlands
- Fluent in English (mandatory) and Dutch (preferable)
- Hold a Master’s degree (minimum) and/or extensive work experience in a field related to cellular agriculture (e.g. biotechnology, food science, tissue engineering, etc.)
- Have worked in industry and/or non-profits within the cell ag space
- Foster a collaborative working environment, encouraging the integration of others’ ideas
