New Harvest’s Isha Datar spent the end of August in the Bay Area. Invited by the Lifestock team at Singularity University, who have entrepreneurial goals in the cultured meat world, Isha went to advise the team, meet with local volunteers, and connect with others in the alternatives world, such as Andras Forgacs of Modern Meadow and Josh Tetrick of Hampton Creek Foods. Isha also invited Nick Walker, a muscle cell researcher from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa to meet others in New Harvest’s network.
